About NoMu Wood

Building with wood has an untapped potential to transform the construction industry and create the next generation of low-carbon and healthy buildings. The Nordics, with an abundance of sustainably managed forest resources and a long history of building in wood, are well placed to lead in this construction revolution.

About NoMu Wood

The website is part of the Wood in Construction project which in 2018 the Swedish Government and the Nordic Council of Ministers commissioned the Nordic Wood in Construction Secretariat, which is hosted by EIT Climate-KIC Nordic. EIT Climate-KIC Nordic owns the website which is prepared and maintained by the Danish Technological Institute and WeThink Nordic.

The website is targeting municipalities in the Nordics who want to build more with wood but is of use of all who wants to build more with wood.

The roadmap provides information which can be used in dialogues between municipalities and advisers connected and during projects. Information is divided into different categories. Every category is reflecting a process during a lifetime of a building. Depending on which process you are in, you can jump to your category independently from the other categories. Links are provided for more information.

In cases you learn about other experiences in the Nordic countries, for now there are listed cases from all the Nordic countries, with time new cases will be implemented.
